自然景觀의 造形的 再構成

Abstract

원시미술에서 현대에 이르기까지 인간은 美의 소재를 자연에서 찾았고, 자연의 무한한 변화와 조화 속에서 영향을 받으며, 자연을 계속적인 관찰과 표현의 대상으로 삼았다. 이러한 자연에 대한 認知는 인간 개개의 심상에 내적, 주관적 表象으로 이미지화 되고 응결되고 확산된다. 이러한 자연 협상의 표현 방법은 시대에 따라 다른 양식으로 형성되어 왔다. 즉, 자연을 있는 그대로 再現하는 과거 고정관념의 형태로부터 벗어나 현대에 와서는 대상과 내면세계를 개성적으로 표현하는 독창력을 중요시하게 되었다. 또한 새로운 재료의 연구개발과 기술의 다양성으로 표현양식이나 그 영역이 점차 확대되고 있다. 이같이 創造的 造形藝術은 예술가의 美意識을 통해서 대상을 작가의 주관에 의해 再構成한 새로운 자연 이미지의 視覺化이다. 이에 본 연구자는 자연경관으로부터 얻은 감동과 직관격인 인상을 화면 위에 造形的으로 형성함으로써 새로운 공간음 표현하고 그 질서와 아름다움을 찾고자 한다. 이러한 목적을 위한 이론적 배경으로는 자연풍경 표현의 변천과정과 자연을 소재로 한 표현대상의 變形 등의 개념을 작가들의 작품들을 통하여 고찰해 보았고, 작품 제작과정에서 대상의 實際와 그것의 變形을 통한 美적 체험과 표현 가능성을 찾고자 하였다. 위와 같은 연구를 바탕으로 작품을 제작, 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연의 생명감과 가치는 영원무궁한 것이며 자연에서의 이미지가 개성적 직관으로 형상화되었을 때 좀 더 적극척인 美격 세계를 펼칠 수 있었다. 둘째, 자연경관을 연구자의 체험과 주관에 따라 變形하여 표현하는 과정을 통해 소재로 선정한 대상물 -산, 구름, 나무, 바다 등- 은 생동감 있는 자연을 표현하기에 적절한 소재였다고 생각된다. 셋째, 납방염에 의한 그라데이션 표현은 색상의 농담 및 혼합이 용이한 특성으로 해서 다양한 분위기를 표출할 수 있었고, 색호찍기 기법은 자연대상에 나타나는 구체격인 재질감과 공간성 형성에 효과적이었다. 넷째, 색호찍기 작업 후 반복적인 납방염법으로 진행되어지는 본 작업에 있어서 단계척인 농담 변화과정상 색상이 진해질수록 질감의 효과가 약화되는 문제점이 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 깨닫고 연구적인 자세로 장기적인 경험을 쌓아간다면 엽색의 독특한 분위기를 한층 폭넓은 표현기법의 개발로 이어질 수 있을 것이다. 따라서 본 연구자는 작품제작과정을 통해 얻은 造形意識을 바탕으로 계속적인 연구와 작품활동을 통하여 문제점을 개선하고, 현대척인 감각과 잘 조화시킴으로써 생활공예의 차원으로까지 발전해나갈 수 있도록 연구하려고 한다.;From the primitive age of art to modern, human beings have looked for the subject of art in nature, affected by the influence of nature in its eternal variation and harmony and took nature as an object of continuous observation and representation. These recognitions for nature form the image, congeal and diffuse in a conception of individual as an internal and subjective symbol. With the change of the times, the artist has pursued to develop various styles of characterizing the shapes of nature. Getting out of the fixed idea of the past which reproduced nature as it is, modem art making an attempt to put importance on the artist's originality, which is characterized by his own expression of the natural objects. In addition, the research and development of new materials and a variety of techniques have made innovations of the representation method and its domain. Creative plastic art is based on the reformation of objects established from artist's sense of beauty and visualization of its image. So I am trying to find the new concepts of space, order and harmony through the formative representation of my own impression on a natural scene. For these reasons, I considered representing methods of scenery in chronological order through abstractionist's works, and sought to find the conceptual modification of natural objects. Also I tried to find an experience of beauty and its possibility of expression by object modification. The findings and analysis resulted from my study and productions are as follows. First, the vitality and worth of nature are eternal. One can get an aesthetic experience of coming across its reality when he forms an image arose from nature by his own intuition. Second, the selected objects - mountain, cloud, tree and sea - are proper to express vivid aspects of nature by wax-dyeing in consideration of the modification of a natural scene with our own experiences and points of view. Third, the representation of the gradation by wax-dyeing can produce various effects through its easy of shading and mixing colors. The dipping work with color glues turned out be effective in expressing senses of concrete quality and space arose from natural object. Fourth, the process of repetitive wax-dyeing followed by dipping work with color glue raised a problem that the representation effect of texture weakens as the tone of color becomes darker in the gradual variation of a shade of color. If we proceed to make an experiment and observe with more techniques, we could get different atmospheres on canvas by taking advantage of various characteristics of wax-dyeing.
