색조명을 이용한 디자인적 정물사진 표현 연구

Abstract

Since the invention of photograph in 1839, there have been mutual influences between photography and the! fine arts, eventhough the former has been somewhat underestimated compared with the latter from an artistic standpoint. As photography has been progressed, it has exerted a great influence upon modern paintings in many aspects. Among them, impressionism was greatly influenced by the progress of photography and it began to explore the possibilities of reproducing the image received by the eye without regard for its meaning. The quality of shadow was analyzed with its reflected colors and lights and the association of color and light was realized by impressionism. This concept of impressionism about tlne light and color was applied to this study and image of light according to different illuminations became "photographic still life" by filling the shadows on photograph with various colors using gelatin filters. Superficial differences in color of shadows on photograph caused by varying sources of light and gelatin filter may express individualized and subjective impressions on ordinary objects rather than the interests of composition and objective view.
