탁아기관의 환경디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

현대 산업사회의 구조 변화의 결과로 가정에서의 부모의 역할과 가족의 기능은 약화되었다. 그러므로 성장과 발달의 결정적 시기에 있는 어린 유아들은 보호를 필요로 하게 되었고 이러한 시대적 요구에 의해 대두된 것이 탁아기관이다. 기혼 여성의 취업률이 증가하는 한편, 유아 교육의 중요성이 크게 강조되어 연구됨에 따라 탁아 서비스에 대한 요구는 양적으로 또한 질적으로 증대되고 있다. 이제 탁아에서의 보호와 교육의 개념은 통합되고 있고 점차적으로 탁아 프로그램은 교육 프로그램이 되고 있으며, 따라서 탁아는 곧 교육을 받는다는 것을 의미하게 되었다. 또한 탁아기관은 유아와 가족 그리고 지역사회에의 보다 광범위한 프로그램 제공을 요구받고 있다. 따라서, 탁아 환경의 계획에 있어 현대 사회의 다양한 가정과 지역사회에 대한 이해가 요구되어지고 있다. 이와 같이 탁아 서비스의 대상은 점차 확대되고 있다. 다시 말해 유아에 대한 보호와 교육만을 탁아기관의 역할로 생각하는 미시적 관점에서가 아니라 진정한 의미의 유아의 보호와 교육을 위해서 탁아는 분리될 수 없는 상호 관련 체계안의 부모와 가정 그리고 지역사회와의 관계속에서 고려되고 계획되어져야 하는 변화를 필요로 하게 되었다. 그러므로 현대 사회의 요구에 의해 확대된 교육적 기능과 사회적 기능을 가지는 탁아기관의 환경을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구의 과정은 다음과 같다. 1. 연구의 목적과 범위를 설정하고 방법을 기술하였다. 2. 유아 환경으로서의 탁아기관의 이해를 위하여 관련이론을 연구하였다. - 유아와 환경에 관한 이론을 고찰하였다. - 환경 체계안에서의 탁아 기관을 생태학적 측면에서 연구하였다. 3. 탁아의 이론적 배경을 고찰하였다. - 탁아의 개념과 기능의 확대과정을 연구하여, 탁아의 개념을 정의하고 기능을 파악함으로써 그에 따른 탁아 프로그램을 유아보육 프로그램, 부모참여 프로그램, 지역사회 서비스 프로그램으로 나누어 연구하였다. - 유아 탁아기관의 환경구성에 관한 연구를 문헌을 통해 고찰하였다. 4. 유아 탁아기관의 현황을 조사, 분석하였다. 5. 위의 연구를 바탕으로 디자인의 개념 및 기본 방향을 제시하고 디자인 전개 과정을 통하여 구체적인 디자인을 제시하였다. 6. 디자인 결과에 대한 평가로 연구의 전과정을 종합하고 결론을 도출하였다. 본 연구의 범위는 2-3세 유아를 대상으로 종일제 프로그램을 운영하는 탁아기관으로 위의 과정을 통한 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 탁아기관의 교육적 기능의 강화를 위해서 - 유아교육학적 접근을 통하여 연구되어진 유아교육 프로그램을 지원하여 다양한 내용의 놀이를 제공하는 환경으로 디자인한다. 2. 탁아기관의 교육적 기능의 강화를 위해서 - 유아환경론적 접근을 통하여 연구되어진 유아 환경이론을 토대로 다양한 공간적 경험을 지원하는 다양한 성질의 공간요소를 가지는 환경으로 디자인한다. 3. 탁아기관의 사회적 기능의 강화를 위해서 - 생태학적 접근을 통하여 연구되어진 부모참여 프로그램, 지역사회 서비스 프로그램을 지원하는 공간을 계획함으로써 유아의 가정과 그 지역사회의 요구를 반영하는 환경으로 디자인한다.;The structural changes of recent industrial society brought about the weakness of parentage and familial function at home. As a result, infants at critical ages in growth and process require safeguard, and to meet this social requirement, the day care center had been appeared. Employment rates of married women are being increased, and the importance of infant education is emphasiged and studied. As a consequence, the need for day care service of infant is being increased in quantity and quality. Nowdays the concept of safeguard and education in day nursery is unified, and the day care programs are gradually turning to infant education programs. Therefore, a day care became to involve education of infant. Also, the infant day care organizations are requested by infant, its family and urban area to present more extensive programs. The understanding of diverse modern home and urban area is fundamental in day care environmental plan. Thus, the object cf day care service is progressively being extended. In another words, rather than the confined viewpoint of thinking that the role of day care organization is in safeguard and endution of infant for the safeguard and eduction of infant, in realsence, the concern among parent, home and urban area is to be considered in up-to-date planning. In this study, the object of investigations is in presention environments of infant day care organization, which fits to the extensive educational and social functions required in modern social needs. The study processes are as the following: 1 . The object and scope of study m e defined and the methods are explained. 2. Relevant theories are studied on understanding of day care organization in relation with environment for infant. - Theories on infant and environment are studied. - Day care organization of environmental system is studied in ecological viewpoint. 3. Theoretical background of day care is studied. - Extension process of concept and function of day care are studied to define new concept of day care and to drive new function which would lead to an individual study of infant safeguard program, parent attended program and urban area service program. - Studies on environmental structure of infant day care are made through relavant literature. 4. The present conditions of infant day care are investigated and analyzed. 5. Based on above researches, concept and basic direction in design are presented, and also detailed design is presented through the design development processes. 6 . A11 of the studies are summarized and evaluated to derive results. The scope of this study is to present a full day program for 2-3 years old children in infant day care organizations, and the study results made through above processes are as the following: 1. For strengthening of educational functions in day care orgarnizations, infant education programs which are established through infant education approaches are to be supported, and environmental designs capable of presenting variety of plays should be done. 2. For strengthening of educational funtions in day care organizations, the environments with multiple spacial factors which provide variety of spacial experiences are to be designed based on infant environment theory which is established through the environmental study approaches. 3. For strengthening of social functions in day care organizations, multiple purpose space should be planned, which provide parents participationg programs established through ecological approach, and also supporting the urban service programs: therefore, environmental designs which reflect needs by infant home and the urban area are essential.
