안토니오 가우디(Antonio Gaudi)의 건축작품을 응용한 의상디자인 연구

Abstract

Dress and its ornaments must have the form which is artistic creation above material to change in accdordance with the movement after being worn on human body and to be able to satisfy the endiess desire about the aesthetic consciousness with the functional and physical pfacticality on the basis of human body. Dress and its ornaments show the similarity from the viewpoint of human being-oriented-art action, and its utillzation value is high as the idea source of fashion design. The goal of theis study is to try to suggest the possibility of expansion of expression realm of fashion design by suggesting the possibility of material development and diverse idea application through the study of fashion design which applied the architectural work. As for the study contents, this researcher studied the modern meaning of fashion design, examined the modern fashion work which expressed the building and made the plastic analysis by classifying the architectural work of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi intoform, decoration detail and sense of surface textile and color on the basis of this theoretical background this researcher manufactured 8 pieces of real thing work of clothing. Through theoretical background studied in this paper the Gaudi architectural characteristics have been found out as follows, First, on the construction of the line it somewhat shows Art Nouveau trend however, a life size motive is not limited to nonobjective arechitectural decoration and, natural and dynamic curve is presented to the it's structure. Second, in the characterisies, of the decoration, continual curve has been employed and mixed style was shown due to the use of diversified properties. In the construction in detail, an outstanding feature is the Mosaic style composite of diversified color tiles and small patches of different materials. Third, in the architectural style, along with acceptance of classic styles such as Gothic, Baroque and Mudehar etc. it is shown wiht an exclusive style presenting in natural way based on religious and area characteristics, not in uniform style. Such Gaudi feature was applied on dress and the result of the study is as follows. First, the study and research of the dress work, designed based on the architectural material, it has been found out that the style image of architecture, it's decoration in detail and architectural formativeness can be well served as extensive subject matters. Second, about the form of structural body of Gaudi architecture the researcher expressed with the compoeition lino of motive texture. Third, this researcher emphasized the decoration nature through the mosaic technique of Gaudi and expressed the sunace texture of structure by changing it into the texture of whole liber material through the use of beads, the harmony ofmaterial of whioh the texture is different, the color mixturethequilting technique the bead decoration to use the technique of buttonhole stitch, and the handicraft-char-acteristic-technique such as crochet needle and hand-knit-ting etc. Fourth, this researcher suggested the possibility of desire satisfaction of the moderms to seek the personality, by creating the clothing of pursuit of high value added with the aesthetic consciousness creation of exprossion technique of handicraft characteristic. In this trial this researcher performed this study, wishing to be able to develop into the utilization tendency by suggesting the new motive about fashion design and wishing to get out of the uniform nature of material in desigh development and to do the continuous study of idea creation.;복식이란 인체 위에 입혀져 움직임에 따라 변화하며 인체를 기본으로 기능적이고 물리적인 실용성과 함께 미의식에 대한 끊임없는 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 물질 이상의 예술적 창조라는 형(Form)을 지녀야 한다. 복식과 건축은 인간을 대상으로 하는 예술행위라는 관점에서 유사성을 보이며, 의상 디자인의 아이디어 원천으로 활용가치가 높다. 본 연구의 목적은 건축작품을 응용한 의상디자인 연구를 통하여 소재의 개발과 다양한 아이디어 응용의 가능성을 제시하여 의상디자인의 표현영역의 확대 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 연구의 내용은 의상디자인의 현대적 의미를 고찰하고, 건축물을 표현한 현대 의상 작품을 살펴보고 본 연구대상인 스페인의 건축가 안토니오 가우디(Antonio Gaudi)의 건축작품을 형태, 장식 디테일, 표면의 재질감, 색상으로 나누어 조형적 분석을 하였다. 이러한 이론적 배경을 토대로 의상 실물 작품 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 이론적 배경을 통하여 얻어진 가우디 건축의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 구성선에서 아르누보적인 경향을 보이나 식물 모티브를 추상적인 건축장식에 국한시키지 않고 구조해석에 의한 구조체 자체에 자연의 역동적인 곡선으로 표현하였다. 둘째, 장식에 관한 특징은 형태에서는 연속되는 곡선을 사용하였고, 다양한 재질의 사용으로 혼합된 형태를 보인다. 세부구성에서는 다양한 칼라의 색타일과 이질재료의 작은 집합체로 구성하는 모자이크 형식이 두드러지는 특징이다. 셋째, 건물양식은 고딕, 바로크, 무데하르 등 고전양식의 수용과 함께 종교성과 지역성의 특성을 고려하여 자연을 표현하는 방법으로 획일화되지 않은 독특한 양식으로 표현하였다. 이러한 가우디 작품의 특징을 복식에 응용하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 건축물을 소재로 한 현대 의상 작품을 디자인, 제작함으로써 건축의 형태이미지와 장식디테일 그리고 건축적 조형성이 의상디자인의 광범위한 모티브가 될 수 있음을 알았다. 둘째, 가우디 건축의 구조체의 특징적인 선을 장식적인 선으로 표현하기에 적합하였다. 셋째, 가우디의 모자이크 기법을 통한 장식성의 강조와 건축물의 표면질감은, 비즈의 사용과 질감이 다른 소재의 조화와 색혼합, 누빔기법, 버튼호울스티치 기법을 이용한 비즈장식, 그리고 코바늘 손뜨게 등의 수공예적인 기법을 통해 전체적인 섬유 소재의 질감으로 변화시켜 표현될 수 있었다. 넷째, 수공예적인 표현기법을 통한 미의식의 표출로, 고부가가치 추구의 의상을 창조하여 개성을 추구하는 현대인의 미적 욕구충족의 가능성을 제시하였다. 이러한 시도는, 의상디자인에 새로운 모티브를 제안하여 활용, 발전시킴에 의의를 두며, 디자인 개발에 있어 소재의 획일성을 탈피하고, 적극적인 아이디어 창출의 연구가 계속되길 바란다.
