유아용 창작동화의 내용 분석에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 유치원에서 활용하고 있는 1980년대와 1990년대 한국 창작 동화를 소재, 주제에 따라 분석하고, 동화내용의 유아 발달의 기본적 요구와의 관련성을 분석하는데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 대상은 1981~1984년에 출판된 유아용 한국 창작 동화와 1991~1994년에 출판된 유아용 한국 창작 동화로 양시대를 구분하였으며, 현재 유치원에서의 활용도와 유치원 교사의 추천, 한국 아동 문학인 협회의 우수 추천 도서를 기준으로 하여, 각각 61권과 117권을 선정하였다. 양시대간의 소재, 주제 분석을 위한 분류 기준은 선행연구들의 기준을 참고로 하였으며, 기본적 요구와의 관련성은 Maslow의 욕구체제 이론을 이상금, 장영희가 유아 문학과의 관련성에 따라 제시한 기준에 의거하였다. 이를 기초로 하여 다음과 같은 연구 문제를 설정하였다. 1. 1980년대와 1990년대 유아용 한국 창작 동화의 소재는 어떤 경향을 나타내며 양시대간에 차이가 있는가? 2. 1980년대와 1990년대 유아용 한국 창작 동화의 주제는 어떤 경향을 나타내며 양시대간에 차이가 있는가? 3. 1980년대와 1990년대 유아용 한국 창작 동화의 기본적 요구와의 관련성은 어떤 경향을 나타내며 양시대간에 차이가 있는가? 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 소재 분석에서, 양시대 모두 의인화, 환상성, 우의성과 같은 순수성 소재가 생활성을 소재로한 동화보다 많았지만 1990년대 동화에서 생활성의 소재가 증가하였다. 2. 주제 분석에서 자연이나 인간에 대한 사랑을 다룬 주제가 보편적으로 많았으며, 특히 1980년도 창작 동화에서는 역경을 딛고 용기와 희망을 갖는 삶의 자세에 대한 주제가 가장 많은 반면 1990년대 창작 동화에는 지식이나 문제 해결과 같이 인지발달에 관련된 주제가 증가하고 있다. 3. 유아의 기본적 요구와의 관련성 분석에서, 양시대 모두 소속과 사랑의 요구에 대한 관심이 보편적으로 많았으며, 특히 1980년대 창작 동화에서는 성취의 요구를 충족시켜 주는 동화가 가장 많았던 반면 1990년대에는 탐구와 이해의 요구를 충족시켜 주는 동화가 전 시대에 비해 크게 증가하고 있다.;The purpose of this study is to analyze the materials, themes, and the relationship between contents and basic needs in the Korean tales created for the young children between 1980's and 1990's. The questions for the study are as follows; 1. Is there any difference in trends by the materials in the Korean creative tales between 1980's and 1990's. 2. Is there any difference in trends by the themes in the Korean creative tales between 1980's and 1990's? 3. Is there any difference in trends by the relationship between contents and basic needs in Korean Creative tales between 1980's and 1990's. The subjects of this study were 178 volumes, the 61s published in 1981-1984. the other 117s in 1991-1994. The criteria of analysis of the materials and themes were referenced those of the preceding studies. And those of the relationship between contents and basic needs is based on those of Lee Sang-Gum, Jang Young-hee (「The theory of young children's literature」, 1986) proposed regarding the relationship between Maslow's needs hierarchy theory and young children's literature. The results of this study are summarized as follows; 1. In the analysis of the the materials: The traditional materials such as personification, fantasies, and allegories were found more than the materials of the common activity in both periods. But, in 1990's the materials of the common activity showed a 12.7% increase over 1980's. 2. In the analysis of the themes: Many themes on the love of human and nature were created in both periods. Especially, the most themes were the courage and hope overcoming the adversity in 1980's but the above themes in 1990's has decreased by 18.6% over 1980's. Otherwise, those on Knowledge has increased by 15.5%. 3. In the analysis of the relationship between contents and basic needs: Many were belongingness and love needs in both periods. Especially, the achivement needs were emphosized mostly in 1980's, otherwise the cognition needs has increased drastically.
