에로티시즘을 반영한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

오늘날 복식은 인간 내면에 잠재되어 있는 미를 실현하고자 하는 성(性)본능의 욕구를 긍정적으로 수용하며, 이에서 한 단계 더 승화시킨 미의식을 표출하려는 발현 과정으로서의 에로티시즘(Eroticism)을 복식에 적용시켜 시각적으로 다양한 모습을 연출한다. 고대에 있어서 에로티시즘은 단순한 성애가 아닌 자아실현의 원동력으로서 보다 나은 인간으로의 발현을 추구하는 것으로 일컬어졌으며 이러한 정의는 에로스의 근원이 생명의 원동력인 리비도(Libido)에서 발원한다는 프로이드(Freud)의 이론과 일치한다고 볼 수 있으나 근대 이후에 있어서의 에로티시즘은 성애(性愛)로 지각된다. 프로이드의 정신분석학적 이론을 복식 심리에 적용시킨 프뤼겔(Flu¨gel)은 복식이 신체에 대한 성적 관심을 끌 목적으로 사용되었다고 복식 착용 동기를 주장한다. 이에 본 연구는 복식 착용과 성이 매우 밀접한 것을 인지하고 여성의 신체 중에서 가장 선정적이고 입체적인 가슴을 보다 조형적으로 표현하기 위해서 평면이라는 개념으로부터 탈피하여 3차원의 기하학적 입체 형태인 원뿔을 브래지어 이미지로 복식에 도입하여 에로티시즘과 입체적인 조형성을 동시에 표현하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 에로티시즘을 반영한 조형적인 브래지어를 복식에 접목시키는 주안점에서 기능적인 면을 배제하고 장식적인 면을 부각시켜 일반적인 고정관념에서 탈피한 기하학적인 복식에 대한 표현 방식의 무한한 가능성을 제시하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 내용 및 방법은 이론적 배경으로서 에로티시즘의 정의와 브래지어의 발전상을 문헌을 통하여 고찰하였고, 기하학적 복식조형을 사례로 분석하여 이를 토대로 브래지어 이미지를 표현한 작품의 예를 살펴보았다. 작품은 에로티시즘의 주제에 입각하여 브래지어의 기하학적 조형성을 중심으로 한 복식 디자인으로서 8점의 실물작품으로 제작되었고 작품제작을 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자기표현의 중심수단인 복식착용에 있어서 인간내면에 잠재되어 있는 성을 부각시키기 위한 적극적 방법의 일환으로 노출을 시도한 바 투시를 통한 신체부위의 간접노출과 부분적인 직접노출로 인하여 선정적인 에로티시즘을 느낄 수 있었다. 둘째, 기하학적 입체 형태-원뿔-를 복식과 접목시킨 결과 움직임과 각도에 따라 다양한 형이 표출되며, 각기 다른 지름과 반대되는 색상을 지닌 원뿔들간의 조화에 있어서 다양하고 개성있는 조형미가 발산됨을 확인했다. 셋째, 공개된 성 즉, 노출이 에로티시즘을 불러일으킨다는 사실은 위에서 제시한 바 있으나 그 보다 한 단계 승화된 노출이나 투시가 배제된 은폐상태에서도 복식에서 표현되어지는 기하학적, 조형적, 또 보는 사람의 시각적 요인에 따라 에로티시즘이 표현됨을 알 수 있었다. 넷째, 여성의 신체 중 가장 조형적 부위인 가슴을 3차원적 입체형태로 장식함으로써 강렬한 시각적 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 여러가지 기하학적 특성 중 원뿔형태에 국한하여 브래지어와 복식을 접목하였는데 이는 현재까지 다양한 기하학적인 브래지어 컵에 대한 연구가 없었던 과정에서 새로운 여러형태를 만들기에 어려움이 많았기 때문이다. 이에 현존하는 디자인 업계와 산업체들은 상호간의 협력으로 새로운 기법의 개발에 적극적인 힘을 부여해야 할 것이며, 복식디자인의 무한한 가능성의 제시를 과제로 삼을것을 요청하는 바이다.;Clothing is a way of life which express beauty. Clothing also tries to represents erotic need which exists within human mind. Therefore, it is necessary to study clothing with relation to eroticism. In ancient times, the eroticism was regarded as not simple sexuality but a kind of driving force which pursue a better human life. Freud also argued that eroticism is based on 'libido' which also a prime motive of all kinds of human life. Flu¨gel, who applied Freud's psycho- analytic theory to clothing paychology, explained that people put on clothing in order to attract sexual interest and to express sexual attraction. This study tried to express eroticism within fashion on the basis of the theory that clothing is closely related to sexual need. Especially, this study focused on women's bust which is one of the most eroctic parts of woman body. This study also chose three dimensional form-a circular corn-to show up the volume of bust. This study aimed to suggest a new way to express the beauty of bust not by using traditional flat design but by using three dimensional design. This study reviewed literature which was related to eroticism and brassiere. Also, this study analised some samples of clothings which used three dimensional design in expressing images of erotic body. In this study, total 8 pieces of clothing were produced. The 8 works expressed eroticism of woman's bust by using three dimensional form-a circular corn. The results obtrained through the production of the works are as follows. First, by the indirect exhibition through a see through look and by the direct exhibition of some part, the clothing could express eroticism. Second, by using three demensional form, the clothing could use the light and shadow as a part of clothing. Third, by using simple geometrical form, the clothing was more effective to attract a gaze. Fourth, by using only three dimensional and geometrical form, even though not using exhibition, clothing could express eroticism. Fifth, by decorating bust with geometrical form, the clothing get stronger and more erotic visual effects. This study used only a circular corn among variouse shapes of three dimensional geometric forms because until now there has been no effort to relate geometric forms to brassiere. Therefore, this study as a first trial to use geometric forms in designing brassiere, request that many fashion designers and underwear industries develope variouse types of brassiere as an effort to enlarge the possibility of underwear design.
