사물에 대한 편집증적 표현 연구

Abstract

For the artist to achieve expression and larger than life art, one needs to digress from the normalcy of life. A grand scale imagination, the ability to reformulate in their minds a aircle, a rectaugle, such forms and shapes or a 3 beat dance song or short poem; these abilities to envision abstract artistic forms are demanded from the artist and a type of madness such as that described by Platon and Aristoteles. The contemparary psychologist Jameson said in his controversial thesis that with psychiatric madness comes an abundance of creative while in real history some examples are living proof. Salvador Dali, for one, imposed the madness of mono mania in his art works as he had early on realized the genius value of the crazed imagination. The artists who express visions of the mind into real forms are exceptionally obsessed with the creative process itself the subject of aesthetics within their art or the methods of expression. This study will pimit the mono maniacal expression to the "expression of imagination envisioned by the madness of one who :is obsessive and aware of images which escape normal persons." Therefore, partⅡ will deal with S.Freud's theory of desire need and suppression of wants as psychological motives of creativity and the mono maniacal expression in art. Part Ⅲ will consider the characteristics of mono maniacal expression and discuss Andy Warhol and Jim Dine's art world .in order to better relate with researcher's own continuous passion for objects. PartⅣ will introduce the motives for materisl and content selection, the series format and the expressive methods while describing the flow of the art works. Through this study, the mono maniacal tendencies have been correlated by the series form with the overlapping collection of content. Most important is the attention given to the object. Theexpressive methods has been rather satisfactory and aided in the understanding of the various face is of the abject.;예술가는 보다 큰 美나 표현력을 위해서는 정상적인 것으로 부터의 이탈이 있어야 한다. 그러기 위해서 예술가에게는 더욱 많은 상상력이 요구되며, 그들의 마음속에 원이나 직사각형 같은 유형을, 또는 短詩나 3박자 춤곡 같이 추상적인 예술적 형식을 재현 할 수 있어야 하며, Platon이나 Aristoteles는 이러한 과정에는 일종의 狂氣를 필요로 한다고 하였다. 최근 미국의 심리학자 제미슨은 심리적으로 비정상적일 때 창의력이 더 왕성해진다는 논문을 발표했는데 이는 논란의 대상이 되고 있기는 하나, 실제로 예술사에서 볼 때, 그러한 예들은 많이 발견되는 일이다. Slavador Dali는 그의 작품 속에 偏執症이라는 狂氣를 도입하여 근 안에 있는 상상력의 가치를 일찌감치 알아챘고, 눈에 보이지 않는 환상을 눈에 보이는 형태로 바꿔 놓는 화가들은 그들의 창작과정과 작품 속에 미적 대상이나 표현방법에 대한 강렬한 집착을 반영한다. 본 논문에서는 偏執症的_表現 을 '사물에 집착하여 보통사람으로서는 상상할 수 없는 일을 하는 것, 그러한 狂氣로 망상체계 속의 상상력을 작품 속에서 표현하는 것' 이라고 하는 측면에 국한시켜 연구하였다. 따라서 본 논문 Ⅰ 장에서는 욕구와 소망의 억압을 창작의 심리적 동기로 보는 S. Freud의 학설을 근거로 하여 미술에서의 偏執症에 대하여 고찰해 보고, Ⅱ장에서는 偏執症的 表現의 特性 을 연구하고, 본인작품의 이해를 돕고자 사물에 대하여 강렬하고 지속적인 관심을 보이는 Andy Warhol과 Jim Dine의 작품 전개 과정을 분석해 보았다. Ⅳ장에서는 본인 작품에 나타나는 소재 선택의 배경과 시리즈로 제작된 형식, 그리고 표현 방법에 대하여 언급하고 제작과정을 통해 본인 작품의 흐름을 서술하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 본인의 偏執症的 表現을 시리즈라는 형식으로 연결시켰는데, 그 안에는 이미지의 수집도, 소재의 반복도 포함된다. 무엇보다도 중요한 것은 사물에 대한 관심이었으며, 이러한 표현형식은 본인에게 만족 할 만한 표현을 얻는데 적절한 방법이 되었고, 사물의 다양한 모습을 이해하는데 도움을 주는 형식이 되었다.
