얼굴 이미지를 응용한 도자 실용기 디자인 연구

Abstract

인간의 모습은 동서고금을 막론하고 시대와 공간을 초월해서 대부분의 예술가에게 흥미로운 주제로 표현의 대상이 되어왔다. 현대미술의 다양한 전개속에서도 사람의 개성을 가장 강하게 반영하는 얼굴은 그 표현을 위해 많은 작가들이 그들의 주관에 따라 다르게 표현되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 얼굴을 소재로 단순·강조·확대등의 변형을 통한 조형화 과정을 통하여 실생활에 밀접한 실용기로 제작함으로써 연구자의 주관적 시강에 의한 창조적인 얼굴의 이미지 창출과 새로운 형의 발견을 본 연구의 목적으로 한다. 연구방법에 있어서는 실생활에 밀접한 머그, 설탕·프림기, 꽃병 접시를 한 조로 하는 실용기를 얼굴이미지로 조형화하고자 한다. 이론적 배경으로는 얼굴의 조형성을 연구하기 위하여 단순·강조·확대된 형태와 분석·종합된 형태로 나누어 사실에서 변형된 조형작품의 예를 통해 조사하는 한편, 이미지에 의한 표현작품을 문헌을 통해 조사하여 얼굴 이미지에 대한 조형성추구의 근거로 삼았다. 이를 통해 얼굴의 구체적인 접근에서 변화, 강조, 생략의 단순화된 접근의 시도로 얼굴의 조형성을 찾고자 하였다. 실용기에 대한 고찰을 통해서는 합리적인 실용기의 필요성에 대해 알아 보았다. 디자인 과정에 있어서는 얼굴의 부분적 특징과 전체적인 실루엣이나 동세를 통하여 단순·강조·확대등의 변형을 통해 조형화 과정을 거쳐 실용기로 재형성하였다. 작품제작 방법에 있어서는 석고형을 이용한 이장주입기법으로 태토는 백색도가 좋은 이장용 고려도토를 사용하였다. 유약은 백색무광택유와 투명유를 각 형태에 맞도록 담금 하였으며, 부분적으로 Pink, Blue, Cobalt, Yellow 안료를 사용하였다. 소성은 비교적 형태 변형이 적은 전기가마에서 마침온도 810℃로 8시간 1차소성 후 2차소성은 마침온도 1260℃까지 12시간 걸려서 산화소성하였다. 본 연구에서 얻은 결론은 얼굴에서의 무궁한 조형성을 관찰하는데 따라 작가의 주관적인 시각에 의해 새로운 이미지가 창출됨과 단순, 강조, 확대의 변형을 통해 무한한 표현이 가능함을 알았다. 또한 창의적이고 합리적인 실용기 디자인의 개발에 있어 보다 과학적인 연구가 필요함을 인식하였다. 본 연구를 통해 얼굴 이미지를 주관적인 시각으로 재구성 함으로써 조형에 대한 시각을 넓히고 창조적인 이미지를 제시하고자 하였다.;The human image as an object of expression has been an enduring theme for most artists in all ages and countries. The face, which most reflects individual character, is used differently by many artists as a form of subjective expression. Thus, the purpose of this research is to use the subjective perception of human facial expression as inspiration for the production of practical tableware, with attention paid to simplicity, emphasis, arid magnification in the object of the face. The purpose is to create a set of practical tableware including mugs, sugar and cream containers, a vase, and plates. In term of theoretical background, to investigate the form of the face, I examined examples of forms which had been transformed from the original using two spectives : that of simplicity, emphasis, and magnification, and that of analysis and synthesis. I also investigated documents and works of expression related to this image and the nature of form. Through this, I try to find the nature of the form of the face, attempting to move from a concrete approach to a simplified approach such as change, emphasis, and omission. Through the study of tableware I investigated the necessity of rational tableware. In the process of design I refined these works into practical tableware through a creative process involving simplicity, emphasis, and the characteristics of facial1 expression. I used koryo clay, which is good for its whiteness, as the basic material. Solid casting with gypsum molds, both injection and compression molding methods, formed the main means of production. In addition, translucent, white matte glaze was applied by the clipping method, partial pink, blue, cobalt and yellow glazes were also used. The pieces were baked in an electric furnace, which causes less changes in form, at a finishing temperature, which causes less changes in form, at a finishing temperature of 810℃ 'for 8 hours. second, They were oxidized at a finishing temperature of 1260℃ for 12 hours. In conclusion, this research shows that by investigating the infinite expressiveness of the face, it is possible to create new images, and to express without limit through simplicity, emphasis, and magnification by the artist's subjective sense of vision. Additionally, it is necessary to have more scientific study about the development of creative, rational tableware design. Through this research. I've tried to present a creative image and enlarge perception and expressiveness through the rearrangement of the image of the face when faced with subjective sense of eyesight.
