고등학교 중국어 말하기 수행평가 모형 개발

Abstract

Performance assessment is to evaluate the accomplishing degree of students, which is assessed with priority given to activities of students. The accomplishing degree of students is mainly concerned with knowledge, skills and actions of them. Performance assessment has been applied into details since the 7th curriculum was established, and further it corresponded to the intent of the new educational goal. Under this situation, the performance assessment was also started to apply in a Chinese education. According to the current trend of 21st century and the goals pursued in a foreign language education, its ultimate purpose is to improve the ability of communication. Above all, because the speaking ability is preferentially critical for the communication, the communication ability could be connected with directly that. To evaluate the speaking abilities of students correctly, the process of learning a foreign language should be observed continuously, so that teachers could make sense of the process thoroughly. Although there are various practical problems with performance assessment, in fact, the performance assessment is not fulfilled effectively in many high schools. For that reason, a research was executed in this study and that is positively necessary in order to analyze the actual conditions of operating Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment in high school. It is also aimed at 77 teachers of high schools located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do through his or her questionnaires. As a result, the research shows that not only is it most difficult for teachers to evaluate objectively the speaking abilities of students, but it also is required that the ways of Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment should be improved diversely. It presents several models of Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment, which are based on the result of research and the fundamental principles of Speaking Performance Assessment in this study. Subjects of assessment are selected centering around contents of <Chinese Ⅰ> textbooks of high school composed of 6 types. And the models of assessment are similarly made up of Performance Assessment forms made by teachers of high schools. Besides, this study shows standard tables being eligible for each evaluation subject for the purpose of being more fair and accurate evaluation. The study of Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment has been made since the time the 7th curriculum was established. But it is not enough to work out the pending problems, and further the assessment models presented from this study leave much to be desired in quantitative or qualitative respects. Even though this study may be deficient, it expects that the study of Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment will come to be much more than before upon this opportunity. In consequence, it expects to try to find out solutions to the problems of operating assessment, so that the Chinese Speaking Performance Assessment would be accomplished effectively and systemically on the basis of the solutions.;수행평가란 학생들의 활동을 중심으로 학습자의 지식, 기술, 행동 등의 성취도를 평가하는 것으로, 제 7차 교육과정이 제정되면서 새로운 교육 목표의 취지에 부합하는 과목별 수행평가가 실시되기 시작하였고, 제 2외국어인 중국어도 마찬가지로 수행평가가 실시되고 있다. 21세기 시대의 흐름과 외국어과 교육 목표가 추구하는 바에 따르면 외국어 학습의 궁극적인 목적은 의사소통 능력의 배양에 있다. 의사소통 능력에서는 무엇보다도 말하기 능력이 우선적으로 중요시되기 때문에 의사소통의 능력은 곧 말하기 능력과 직결된다고도 할 수 있다. 이러한 학습자의 말하기 능력을 올바르게 측정하기 위해서는 언어 학습의 과정을 지속적으로 관찰하고 파악할 수 있는 수행평가의 방식이 적합하지만 실제로 학교 현장에서는 여러 가지 실시상의 어려움으로 인해 제대로 된 수행평가가 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 먼저 현행 고등학교 중국어 말하기 수행평가 운영 실태 분석을 위해 서울과 경기도에 위치하고 있는 인문계, 실업계 고등학교 교사 77명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과 말하기 수행평가를 실시하는데 있어서 가장 어려운 점은 객관적이고 공정한 채점이 이루어지기 힘들다는 것이었으며, 앞으로 개선되어야 하는 점으로는 다양한 평가 모형 개발의 필요성을 지적하였다. 이러한 설문 결과 및 말하기 수행평가 작성 원리를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 몇 가지 중국어 말하기 수행평가 모형을 제시하였다. 평가 과제는 현행 고등학교 <중국어Ⅰ> 6종 교과서에 수록된 내용을 중심으로 선정하였고, 평가 모형은 실제 교사들이 수행평가 실시 계획을 세우는 형식과 유사하게 구성하였으며, 보다 공정하고 정확한 채점을 위해 각 평가 과제에 적합한 채점 기준표도 함께 제시하였다. 아직까지는 중국어 수행평가 전반에 대한 연구가 많이 미흡한 편이고 또한 본 연구에서 제시한 평가 모형들은 질적이나 양적인 면에서 부족한 부분이 많다. 따라서 본 연구를 계기로 중국어 말하기 수행평가에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어져 평가 실시상의 문제점과 다양한 해결 방안을 모색하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 보다 체계적이고 효율적인 수행평가가 이루어질 수 있기를 기대한다.
