Abstract

From ancient time, men have worn the accessories for the aesthetic desire. Among these accessories, brooch is the one, on the back of which attachment instrument is fixed. There is no limit of the broach except the fact which ,must be fixed on the clothes. In comparison with other accessories, the brooch is favorite, because the brooch is unrestricted in space to be attached and its application is easy. But there are many problems. For example, its weight, shape or attachment does harm for the clothes. In this study, I tried to examine these problems and present the solutions. Frist, I summerized the development procedure of the brooch, the relation with the clothes and its application range. Second, I examined the harm of the clothes caused by the weight and attachment. Finally, I made the brooch considering the suggestions examined through the study. I used the material considering the preservation. This study is meaningful for the enlargement of application of the brooch, which is in deep relation with the clothes and gives various accent to the clothing.
