도시환경 이미지 개선을 위한 경관조명 디자인에 관한 연구

Abstract

도시의 발전과 더불어 빛 환경도 질적, 미적 향상을 이루어왔다. 도시환경 디자인에 있어서 미적 가치의 실현은 그것을 경험하는 사람들에게 즐거움이 되고 그 질적 향상의 요구는 그 정도를 더하고 있다. 이에 연구자는 도시의 야간 환경의 이미지를 개선하여 질적, 미적인 즐거움을 줄 수 있는 디자인을 제시하고자 하였다. 야간 경관조성의 사례를 제시하기 위해 평소 연구자가 개선의 필요성이 있다고 생각한 대상인 서울 시청을 대상지로 하여 현재 시청이 가지고 있는 문제점을 분석하는 것으로 연구를 시작하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 시청의 야간 환경을 개선함으로써 도시의 가치 있고 중심이 되는 공간으로의 조성이 가능함을 보일 수 있었다. 본 연구는 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 1장에서는 경관조명계획을 통한 도시의 야간 환경의 개선을 위해 연구의 방법 및 범위를 제시함으로써 연구를 시작하였다. 2장에서는 연구의 대상지가 되는 서울 시청 건물과 서울 광장의 의미를 살펴보고, 서울 광장의 기능적 성격을 알아보았다. 이 과정을 통해 서울 시청이 가지고 있는 문제점을 알 수 있었고, 광장과 시청 건물과의 연계성이 부족함을 밝힐 수 있었다. 현 시청 건물이 가지고 있는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대안으로 조명계획을 통해 야간 환경의 문제점을 개선시킬 수 있음을 파악하였다. 3장에서는 서울 시청의 문제점 해결을 위한 방안인 경관조명계획에 관한 기본 개념에 관해 알아보았다. 경관조명의 개념과 목적을 살펴봄으로써 연구의 의의를 더욱 확실하게 할 수 있었고, 이러한 조성에 기본이 되는 빛의 특성에 대해 알아보았다. 빛의 물리적/시각적/지각 특성에 관해 알아봄으로써 시청 조명계획에 필요한 요소를 추출하고 적절한 경관조명의 방법에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 국외 우수한 야간 경관 환경을 갖춘 사례를 조사하는 과정을 통해 서울광장과 시청 건물의 조명 계획에 적용할 수 있는 요소를 추출할 수 있었다. 4장은 대상지인 시청의 환경을 분석하고 야간 환경을 개선하는 과정을 디자인을 적용하여 대상 이미지를 시각화하였다. 5장에서는 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 하여 연구의 결론 및 타당성을 밝혔다. 연구자는 본 연구를 통해, 이제까지의 도시 환경이 도시의 발달과 더불어 만들어진 것이라면, 앞으로의 도시 환경은 계획하고 정리하여 만들어 감으로써 복잡한 도시 환경의 중심이 되고 가치 있는 대상으로 만들어가야 함을 알 수 있었다.;Environment has been improved in quality and aesthetic value along with city development. Achieving aesthetic value in designing of urban scenery is becoming a pleasure to those who are experiencing the change and the demand for better quality is needed. I am to show the design of which gives the qualitative and aesthetic pleasure when the urban night view is developed. To show an example of the urban night scenery, I started by analyzing the problem the current city hall is having which I usually thought such improvement is needed. By improving the night view of the city hall through such analysis, I figured that it could become a valuable and central space. In chapter 1, I started my research by showing the best way and the limits of it to improve the urban night scenery through good lighting plans. In chapter 2, I examined the meaning of Seoul City Hall building and Seoul Plaza and the functional characteristics of Seoul Plaza. And I investigated the problem Seoul City Hall is having and the lack of link between the City Hall building and the Plaza. To solve the problem current City Hall building is having, I determined that we could improve the night scenery by good lighting plans. In chapter 3, I investigated the basic concept of the lighting planning which is the scheme to solve the problem Seoul City Hall is having. By examining the concept and purpose of lightings, the meaning of the research became very clear and I checked on the characteristics of the light which is basic to these compositions. I examined the physical/visual/perceptional characteristics and figured the factors that are needed in City Hall lighting plans and appropriate lighting scheme. Also by studying good examples of night scenery both in and out of the country, I determined the factors which could apply to the Seoul Plaza and the city hall building lighting process. In chapter 4, I analyzed the environment of the City Hall and I visualized the application of the design to improve the night scenrery. I determined that urban environment was created along with the city development till now and I figured and came to think that city environment should be planned ahead and become organized to make become the center of the complicated urban environment.
