구성주의 조각을 응용한 헤어조형에 관한 연구

Abstract

헤어조형이란 헤어 자체를 순수하게 분석하고 미적 측면을 탐구하여 구조적 특징을 파악함으로서 새로운 시각적 형태로 형상화하는 것으로, 복식의 역사에 따라 머리형태나 장식은 역사 이전부터 여러 형태로 존재하였고 고대부터 현대까지 의복의 실루엣과 함께 다양하게 표현되어 왔다. 헤어는 신체를 장식하는 하나의 방법으로 과거 그 모양과 형태가 신분과 계층에 따라 매우 이분법적이며, 동시대적인 스타일이 일률적으로 적용되었으나 현대는 패션과 함께 헤어스타일 또한 개인의 개성과, 감성, 가치관을 표현하면서 새로운 시각에 대한 표현 영역의 한 부분으로 형상화되면서 예술적인 조형미로 표현되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 20세기 예술의 기반이 된 구성주의 조각의 조형성을 도입하여 헤어가 표현 할 수 있는 새로운 조형영역을 확대하여, 시각적 아름다움으로 형상화 하고자 하였다. 헤어의 조형적 형상화를 위해 응용된 구성주의 조각에 대한 분석에 앞서 구성주의의 배경 및 이념에 대해 정리한 후 구성주의 조각작품에 대한 자료를 수집, 범주화하여 조형적으로 분석하였다. 헤어 조형에 대한 이해를 위하여 헤어 조형의 개념과 특성을 정리하고, 고대부터 시대별로 현대까지 머리형태 및 장식에 대한 역사적 고찰을 하였으며 현대 패션에서 나타난 헤어 조형의 사례를 콜렉션을 중심으로 분석하였다. 위의 연구를 바탕으로 구성주의 조각의 조형성에 근거하여 제작한 9점의 작품을 제작한다. 작품은 구성주의 조각의 기하학적인 형태에 기초하여, 공간 구성과 케네틱 적인 요소를 적용하였으며, 소재는 인조모를 중심으로 철, 아크릴, 나무, 에나멜 동선, 광섬유 등의 오브제를 사용하여 작품의 조형적 형상화에 응용하였다. 이러한 연구를 통해 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 헤어의 시각적 형상화에 구성주의 조각의 조형성을 도입함에 있어서 기하학적이고, 공간 구성적이며, 키네틱적인 조형원리를 적용하여 헤어를 선의 조합으로 면과 공간을 구성하는 3차원적인 형태로 표현함으로서 헤어조형의 표현 영역을 확대할 수 있었다. 둘째, 작품의 소재에 있어서는 철사, 철망, 동 파이프, 아크릴, 나무, 에나멜동선, 광섬유 등의 다양한 오브제를 사용하여 원, 사각, 정육면체 등의 기하학적이고, 공간 구성적인 형태를 표현하였으며, 그 자체가 헤어와 조화로운 구성을 이루며 조형적으로 형상화하면서 헤어 조형에 있어 다양한 소재의 활용 가능성을 확인하였다. 셋째, 키네틱 적인 효과를 위해 광섬유와 헤어의 결에 의한 시각적 변화를 줌으로서 광섬유의 빛의 변화와, 헤어의 교차되거나 다른 방향으로 밀집되고 확장되며 표현하는 결의 변화는 섬세한 면을 형성하였고 시각의 변화에 따라 다채롭게 변화하는 운동감의 효과를 표현할 수 있었다. 넷째, 헤어 조형의 색채에 있어서는 비비드 톤의 컬러를 강조 색으로 사용하여 강한 시각적 단순함을 주었으며 블랙을 기본으로 단순하고 명쾌한 원색을 도입하여 강한 기하학적 공간을 형상화하였고, 광섬유에 의해 표현되는 다양한 빛의 컬러는 헤어 조형의 새로운 시각적 조형을 보여주었다. 이와 같이 구성주의 조각의 조형원리에 입각한 9점의 작품제작을 통해서 헤어에 의해 표현되는 미적 형상화에 의한 조형적 가치를 인식하였다. 다양화되고 깊이 있는 복식의 연구와는 달리 헤어에 대한 관심과 연구는 미흡하며, 여전히 기능적 차원에서 인식되고 있다. 이러한 현실에서 본 연구는 헤어의 조형적 연구를 통하여 새로운 예술의 영역으로서 확대되어 현대사회에서 그 자체만으로도 충분히 사회적 가치와 이념을 반영할 수 있기를 바라며, 앞으로 많은 학문적 연구가 지속되기를 바란다.;Hair Modeling is to analyze completely hair itself, to explore its aesthetic aspect and to understand its structural characteristics in order to embody it into new and visual form. As dressing had changed, hair pattern or decoration has existed variously. From ancient time to our present time, hair style has been expressed in various way with silhouette of clothes. In the past, hair was a way to adorn a body and its shape and pattern were very dichotomous by people's positions and classes. While a contemporary style was applied as a whole, at present a hair style as well as fashion is expressing an individual personality, emotion and viewpoint. Besides, it is embodied into a expressive area with new vision and it is expressing artistic and formative beauty. The goal of this study is to develope a new formative area which hair can express by introducing formativeness of constructionists' sculpture, which was a foundation of arts in the 20th century, into hair and to realize it to be a visual beauty. Primarily, data of sculptures including constructionism were collected and categorized to be analyzed formatively after background and concept of constructionism were arranged. And then constructionist sculptures applied to hair's formative embodiment were analyzed. In order to understand hair modeling, we arranged the concept and properties of hair modeling. Hair patterns and decoration from ancient time to present time were studied historically and cases of hair modeling shown in modern fashion were analyzed, centered on collections.. This study produced a total of 9 pieces of works. Hair works, which were based on geometric pattern of constructionists, sculptures, applied space constructional and kinetic elements, and their materials were artificial hair, wire, acryl, wood, enameled copper wire and optic fiber to be applied to works' formative shape. The conclusion drown from the process of producing these works are as follow. Firstly, geometric, spatial and constructional, and kinetic form principles were applied when constructionists' sculptures were introduced to shape visually hair. As a result, the expressive area of hair modeling could be expanded because three dimensional pattern composing a space and a side were expressed by organizing the lines of hair. Secondly, the material of works were such objects as wire, wire-netting, copper pipe, acryl, enameled copper wire and optic fiber. They were used to express such geometric and space constructional as a circle, square and cube. It was verified that they were themselves harmonized with hair, they were shaped formatively and various materials were available. Thirdly, we could get a kinetic effect by giving a visual change to hair; A change of light which optic fiber was used form and a cross of hair and a change of hair crowed or expanded to other side expressed subtle aspect of hair. We could express kinetic effect through which various visual change occurred. Fourthly, in colors for hair modeling, colors with vivid tone were intensively used to give loud and visual simplicity and on the basis of black, simple, clear and primary colors were introduced to make a geometric space and various colors expressed by optic fabric showed new and visual formativeness of hair modeling. In the process of producing the nine pieces of works based on the formative principles of constructivism, this study perceived the design values of hair styling as an aesthetic embodiment. Hair styles in itself sufficiently reflect the social values and ideology in the modem society. It is recommended that further theoretical studies be continuously conducted on hair styling, not in the subordinate relationship as a part of fashion, but as an independent domain of popular culture.
