中學校 體育科 敎育課程 運營實態와 學生들의 體育授業에 關한 關心度 調査

Abstract

It seems that curriculae should be incessantly corrected or supplemented at feast to keep pace with the needs of the nation or society as well as with the of the times. The effective application of a curriculum is considered to be attained when its operators are able to put it into practice with a good understanding of its goals and purports, On the premise that we can enhance the efficiency of education fully when we take into consideration learners' psychological development and needs, this study purports to scrutinize estrangement among the formal curriculm developed by educational institutes, the practical curriculum carried out by teachers on the practical side of education, and the empirical curriculum as seen on the level of students' awareness, and then to grope for a rational operation of and teaching guidelines for curriculae, For that purpose was conducted a questionnaire survey on junior high school teachers and students in Seoul to inquire into how teachers apply their physical education curriculum and how much interest students have in it. The resultant findings were revealed, as follows: 1, teachers' goal consciousness shows a grand mean of 3.5985 out of a possible 5 in each of questions, which gives a high rating. Both teachers ,and students put the first priority goal on "promotion of health" out of 9 questions. Subsequently come "meeting physical exercise needs" from teachers and "diversion and physical exercise needs" from students. This indicates a point in common that both groups put emphasis On promotion of health and meeting physical exercise needs. But "the cultivation of characters" the third rating by the teachers group is shown in the lowest place by the students group, which presents a sharp contrast between the two groups. 2. "The contents of teaching" gives a grand mean of 2.775, which hints that most of teachers do not conform to the standard quantity suggested by the formal curriculum. Both teachers and students do not feel any difficulty in the use of sport facilities and equipments, and prefer ball games of interest. The next preference from "the physical strength measurement"' and "gymnastics by teachers and from "others" (i.e., foot baseball, foot volleyball, touch ball, etc.) and "swimming." There arises a difference between teachers and students from these other items except for ball games. "Senior high school entrance examination". (the physical strength measurement) showing the lowest sating in teachers' goals is placed in the second rating in the contents of teaching, which signifies inconsistency between goals and practice, and also suggests the burden of the senior high school examination is loaded on teachers. 3. Regarding the question of " the teacher offers an example" in the teaching method, both groups reveal the same response. but express different responses in the selection of events or learning guidance. which 'reads to a large estrangement. Teachers have yet got out of the uniform and authoritarian tradition, while students need free selection of events and classroom atmosphere on the basis of interest. 4. As mooted points of curricular operations and physical education classroom work point out both teachers and students the narrowness of the playground and shortage of sport facilities and equipments. This is thought to be one of' the worst hampering factors in educational activities. Subsequently, teachers point out senior high school entrance examinations (the physical strength measurement), which is presented in the lowest place in the goal column, in the second place in the contents of teaching, and in the third place in the mooted points column. Inasmuch as teachers cannot help emphasizing the practical side of education quite independently of their goal consciousness it remains as a serious mooted point with a high rating. And students indicate as the third mooted point no diversification of contents of classroom work. It follows from this that the point may be ascribed to the first point-the narrowness of the playground and to the second point-shortage of sport facilities and equipments.;敎育課程은 國家 社會的 要求와 더불어 時代的 變踐에 따라 부단히 修正 補完되어아 한다. 또 그것은 運營하는 사람이 目的이나 趣旨를 잘 理解하고 實踐할 수 있을 때 敎育課程 運營의 效率化를 기할 수 있으며 특히 學習者의 心理發遠原理와 그들의 慾求 必要를 考慮할 때 敎育의 效率性을 높힐 수 있다는 것을 전제로 본 調査는 硏究機關에서 개발된 수준의 形式的 敎育課程과 敎育現場에서 敎師들에 의해서 운영되어지고 있는 수준의 實踐的 敎育課程,그리고 學生인지 水準의 經驗的 敎育課程과의 乖離를 규명하여 보다 합리적인 敎育課程의 운영과 效率的인 指導方案을 模索하고자 敎師들의 敎育課程 運營實態와 학생들의 體育時間에 대한 關心度를 서울시내 중학교 체육교사와 학생을 대상으로 說問調査를 실시하여 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 1. 敎師들의 目標意識은 문항별 5점만점에 Grand mean 3.5985로 그 관심도가 일반적으로 높히 評價되고 있으며 교사, 학생 모두 9개문항의 질문중 健康增進을 最優先 目標로 정하고 있다. 다음으로 교사는 運動慾求 充促과 人格涵養, 학생은 기분전환과 運動慾求 充促의 順으로 나타나 目標領域에서 건강증진과 운동욕구충족에 많은 비중을 두고 있는 것은 양집단에서 공통점을 보이나 敎師集團에서 3位를 보인 인격함양은 학생집단에서 최하위를 보여 두 집단에 差異를 나타내고 있다. 2. 지도내용 영역에서는 Grand mean 2.775로 대다수의 敎師들이 形式的 敎育課程에서 제시고 있는 기준량에 따르지 못하고 있으며, 敎師 學生 모두 興味있고 시설용구에 큰 어려움이 없는 구기종목을 가장 選好하고 있다. 다음으로 敎師는 체력장과 체조를, 學生은 기타(발야구, 족구, 피구등)와 수영을 선호하는 순을 보여 구기를 제외한 나머지 種目에서 敎師와 學生간에 差異를 보이고 있다. 특히 교사들의 目標面에서는 최하위권을 보이던 高校入試(체력장)가 指導內容面에서는 2번째로 비중을 두어 지도하고 있다는 점은 目標와 實踐面에서 부합되지 못하고 있는 것으로 이는 現實的으로 敎師들에게 입시부담이 作用하고 있다는 점을 示唆해 준다. 3. 指導方法 영역에서는 시범은 敎師가 한다의 질문에 두 집단 같은 意見을 보이나 種目 選擇이나 學習指導方法面에서는 제각기 다른 양상을 보여 그 乖離가 크다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 교사는 획일적이고 權威主義約 傳統性을 벗어나지 못하고, 학생은 興味爲主의 자유로운 種目選擇과 수업분위기를 要求하고 있다. 4. 敎育課程 運營上 問題點과 학생들의 體育授業時의 문제점으로는 운영하는 敎師나 授業받는 學生 모두가 運動場 狹小와 시설 및 용구의 부족을 지적하고 있으며, 이것은 敎育活動에 가장 큰 沮害要因으로 생각될 수 있다. 다음으로 교사들은 高校入試(체력장)을 지적하고 있는데 이것은 目標領域에서 最下位圈으로,指導內容領域에서는 두번째로, 問題點領域에서는 세번째로 나타나 교사들의 目標意識 水準과는 無關하게 實賤面에서 비중을 두지 않을 수 없는 敎育現實이기에 問題點으로 比重 높게 차지하고 있음을 알 수 있겠다. 또 學生들은 연간 授業內容에 있어 多樣하지 못하다는 것을 세번째 問題點으로 指摘하였는데 이것은 위의 첫번째 問題點인 운동장협소와 두 번째 問題點인 施設 및 用具의 不促에서 起因하는 것으로도 볼 수 있다.
