현대 의류에 나타난 공예직물 연구

Abstract

인류역사상 중요한 전환기를 가져온 산업혁명과 정치혁명은 대량생산에 의한 합리주의와 민주주의적 사조를 전세계에 확대시켰고, 그 후 전개된 기계문명과 공업화의 진전은 19세기 세계를 지배하였다. 그 결과, 기계에 의해서 가치가 형성되는 사회로 변모되어 '보다 싼 값으로, 보다 나은 것을, 보다 많은 사람들에게' 라는 사회적 이념을 토대로 생활양태는 급격한 변화를 갖게 되었다. 이와같은 사회·경제적 배경에 따라 제품생산을 위한 능률과 진보를 구현하는 새 시대의 창의적 이념으로서 산업디자인분야가 탄생하게 되었고 산업의 진보에 힘입어 현대 디자인은 급진전을 보이게 되었다. 그리하여 디자인은 현대의 기술과 제품의 질(質)을 향상시키고 생활문화의 질적 성취를 위한 차원 높은 수단으로 인식되기에 이르렀고 그 가치를 충분히 인정받게 되었다. 모흘리 나기(Moholy Nagy)는 "디자인은 사회적, 경제적, 기술적 요소 및 생태학적인 필요성, 혹은 재료, 형태, 색채, 공간의 심리적인 효과, 그리고 이들이 상호관계를 이루게 하는 사고(思考)를 통합시키는 것이다." 라고 하였다. 즉, 디자인은 시대적 배경과 유리된 채 확연한 창조철학이 없이는 그 존재가치를 발휘할 수 없다고 하겠다. 현재 세계적으로 디자인의 경향은 점차 탈규격화, 개성화 및 역사적·민족주의적 성향을 요구하여 있으며, 특히 1990년대는 고도다양화시대, 예술·문화시대, 최고품질시대, 마음의 풍요성, 아름다움과 건강을 추구하는 자기표현의 개성시대로 예측하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 현대 디자인의 추세에 따라 현대 의류 전반에 걸쳐 관심이 집중되고 있는 창의적·실험적인 수공예직물(手工藝織物)이미지를 심층적으로 발전시킬 수 있는 방법을 모색하였다. 무엇보다도 현재 한국섬유산업계가 당면한 원자재·원화·임금 상승의 난관을 극복하며 고부가가치화(高附加價値化)를 추구하고 있는 섬유선진국에 도달하기 위한 하나의 방안으로서 본 논문은 공예직물의 개발과 수용에 관한 고찰을 통해 창의적 직물디자인의 중요성을 제시하고자 하였다. 그러므로 섬유산업계에서 예술, 공예 및 기술의 주관적·개성적 측면들과 객관적·기계적 측면들을 결합시켜 유기적인 관계를 재정립할 수 있는 공예직물의 기법 및 이미지의 도입은 매우 의미 있고 시급한 연구과제라 할 수 있겠다.;Design may not show the existence value, without the definite creation philosophy, as it is separated from the period background. Textile industry in Korea, since late in 1980, has reached a significant turning point to switch over to the production system for a small quantity of high-priced articles from the system of material superiority for low-priced products in order to meet the tightening on imports restriction by advanced nations, the diversification of consuming pattern as well as its high-class demand. Therefore, it is intended to make a series of studies on textile pattern as a part of developing the quality commodities with good design to meet a contemporary trend and a social condition laying emphasis on the development of textile design in parallel with technical renovation for the production of commercial articles on highly value added. In this study, the method to be able to develop the image of creative and experimental weaving textile of handicraft that the interest is being concentrated over the whole of modern clothes profoundly, according to the tendency of this modern textile design, was groped. This thesis is to suggest the importance of creative design of the craft textile through the study on the development and acceptance of the craft textile as one program for reaching the advanced nation of fiber which is pursuling the tendency of high added value, overcoming the difficulties of the rise of raw material cost, Won currency and wages that the industrial. world of Korean fiber is confromted with at present. Therefore, it can be said that the introduction in technique and image of the craft textile to be able to reestablish the organized relation by combining the subjective and personal sides and the objective and machanical sides of art, craft and technology is very significant and urgent study task, in the industrial world of fiber. In the work manufacture, the deep conscious and unconscious emotion which is not the simple superficial transmission of sea but which is immanent in the sea was attempted to be expressed, by making the image of sea as the theme. The expression method was attempted to be show through the change of diverse weaving pattern based on the color, materials and techniques.
