섬유 조형에 관한 연구

Abstract

조형예술의 활동이란 조형제작 활동의 주체가 되는 인간이 예술표현의 의지를 가지고 그 의지를 형태로서 객관화하는 시각형태화 과정을 통하여 여러가지 재료로서 작품제작에 걸친 다양한 표현기법에 의하여 Formation 하려는 활동이라고 생각할 수 있다. 현대 미술은 사회가 변화하고 발전해 감에 따라 과거의 고정화된 개념에서 과감히 탈피하여 좀더 적극적인 예술활동을 전개해 나가는 것을 볼 수 있다. 또한 현대 섬유예술도 시대의 흐름이나 사회 환경의 변화에 따라 표현 방법이 상당히 대담해졌으며 새로운 표현매체의 예술로 전개되고 있다. 특히 바우하우스 이념에 의하여 섬유예술은 많은 발전을 이룩하였는데 이로 인하여 섬유예술은 전통적인 형태로부터 자유로와졌다. 조형예술이라는 것은 작가가 자신의 감정을 서술하는 것이 아니고 표현하는 것이기 때문에 어떤 형태에 얽매여서는 안되는 것이며, 자유로운 형태를 추구하면서 작가의 내면에 존재하고 있는 개성을 강조하고 또한 생명있는 형태로 나타내어야 한다. 현대 섬유예술은 과거의 고정화된 틀에서 과감히 탈피해 작가 자신의 내면세계를 최대한 살릴 수 있는 새로운 형태 조형을 추구하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자연물에서 찾아낸 형태를 시각화했으며 변형을 시도함에 있어 형태를 정형적인 상해로 나타내는 것이 아니라 형태상의 필연성, 작가의 목적 및 의도 밑에서 변형을 시도했다. 또한 자연형태에 주관적, 객관적인 강조를 가해서 표현하였으며, 작품제작 과정에서 한층 더 효율적인 부조적 형태를 표현하기 위해 슬릿 기법을 사용하였다. 재료 또한 자연물에 가까운 천연섬유와 부드러운 Velveteen을 사용했다. 경사실은 동선을 사용하여 구부림으로써 부조적 형태를 강하게 나타냈으며 웅장한 바위에서 느낄 수 있는 자연미와 가을날의 대지에 뒹구는 낙엽등 자연적 이미지 형태 변형에 주력하여 질감의 변화와 부조적 형태 변형의 조형성을 추구하는데 노력했다.;The activities of formative arts have a meaning that human beings, who are subjective in creative activities, make a formation by means of various visualization process with his/her will of expression. Looking back to the history of arts, we can see that arts have moved from the fixed concept in teh past to the active activities in accordance with social progress. So, as the social environments and trend of times are changing, the fiber art has been drastically courageous and then placed as a new method of expression. In particular, by the idea of Bauhaus, tapestry has accomplished a great deal of development so that it became free from the tradition. Because the formative arts aye represented not by describing artists own sense but by expressing it, they should not be confined to a certain kind of formation. Instead, artists are supposed to demonstrate the vital expression which emphasizes both their insight and personality seeking for a free shape. Modern tapestry is searching for a new formation by which an artist can reveal his/her inner world deviated from the fixed snape in the past. In this study, I have tried to visualize the Shape Selected in natural materials. In the process of transfiguration, it has been transfigured under the purpose and intention of the artists, not by just collapsing the form carelessly. To the natural shape the expression of subjective and objective stress is added. In order that the relief shape is expressed in the procedure of production effectively, the technique of slit and natural fibers and tender velvet close to natural materials have been used. Furthermore, i rumpled coppr wires used as an inclined fiber, which makes us feel relief form intensively. I have tried to pursue the formativeness in changes of material swnse and transfiguration of relief Shape which gives us feeling of gigantic rocks and loafing leaves in autumn days, in priority to natural imaged form.
