태국에서의 한국어 문법교육의 실태 및 개선방향 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 태국의 한국어 교사와 학습자를 대상으로 설문조사를 통하여 한국어 문법이 태국 학습자들에게 미치는 영향과 문법수업에 대한 학습자와 교수자의 요구 등을 알아보았다. 또한 태국에서 한국어 문법교육의 현재상황과 문제점을 파악하여 개선점을 찾아보고, 효과적인 문법교육 방안 제시와 앞으로 나아갈 방향을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 구성과 내용은 다음과 같다. I장에서는 연구의 필요성과 목적을 밝히고, 선행연구 내용을 검토하였다. 이어 본 연구를 위한 연구범위와 방향을 제시하였다. 먼저 태국 학습자의 의사소통 향상을 위한 한국어 문법 교육에 대한 연구의 필요성을 밝히고 본 연구의 목적을 밝혔다. 그리고 선행연구를 검토하여 그 결과 통해 문제점을 찾아보았다. 그리고 그것을 바탕으로 태국 학습자들을 위한 효과적인 문법교육에 대한 연구의 필요성을 다시 한 번 강조하였고, 마지막으로 각 장의 논의 전개 내용을 밝혔다. II장에서는 언어교육 교수법의 변화 속에서 문법교육이 어떻게 인식되어 왔고, 변화되어 왔는지 언어교수법의 변화 속에서 문법교육이 가지는 의미를 살폈다. 그리고 의사소통 능력에 대한 제반 이론들을 토대로 의사소통 능력향상을 위한 문법 지도의 필요성을 이야기하면서 한국어 문법교육의 필요성을 강조하였다. III장에서는 태국에서의 한국어 문법교육 대한 실태 및 문제점을 조사하기 위한 연구방법을 기술하였다. 설문조사에서 나타난 결과를 중심으로 문법교육 실태 및 문제점, 학습자와 교사의 문법에 대한 인식, 문법교수학습에 대한 의견, 교재, 그리고 개선점 및 요구사항 등에 대해서 분석하였다. IV장에서는 III장의 분석 내용을 바탕으로 태국에서의 한국어 문법교육 문제점에 대한 개선점과 방안을 찾아보고, 의사소통 능력 향상을 위한 효과적인 한국어 문법교육에 대해서 제시하고 나아갈 방향을 모색하였다. 개선방향에 대해서는 교재, 교수법, 교사를 중심으로 논하였다. 이상의 논의와 관련하여 본 연구는 다음과 같은 점에서 의의를 갖는다고 할 수 있다. 첫째, 태국에서의 한국어 문법교육에 대한 실태와 문제점을 파악하고, 현재 태국의 한국어 문법교육의 상황에 대해서 처음으로 정리하였다. 이는 앞으로 문법교육과 관련된 교재개발이나 연구활동에 참고할 수 있는 기초적인 자료를 마련하고 정보를 제공하여 태국 학습자를 위한 문법교육에 대한 활발한 연구 활동을 가능하게 하였다. 둘째, 태국에서의 한국어 문법교육의 개선점 및 개선방안을 구체적으로 제시함으로써 앞으로 태국에서의 한국어 문법교육이 나아갈 방향을 모색하였다는 데에서도 의의를 찾을 수 있다.;This study investigates the influence of Korean grammar on Thai learners and the learners’ and teachers’ requirements on grammar class through a survey of teachers and learners of Korean in Thailand. It aims to find out ways of improvement by grasping current conditions and problems of the education of Korean grammar, and to present effective plans for grammar education and grope for a direction to proceed in. The construction and contents of this study are as follows. Chapter 1 explicates the necessity and purposes of this study, and examines the preceding works. Then, it presents the range and direction of this study. Chapter 2 investigates how grammar education has been recognized and changed in the changes of teaching methods in language education to understand the meaning of grammar education in the changes of teaching methods. And, based on various theories of the communicative ability, this chapter stresses the necessity of the education of Korean grammar while mentioning the necessity of grammar instruction for increasing the communicative ability Chapter 3 describes the research method for investigating the conditions and problems of Korean grammar education in Thailand. Focusing on the results from the survey, we analyze the conditions and problems of grammar education, learners’ and teachers’ recognition of grammar, their opinions on grammar teaching and learning, textbooks, points of improvement, and requirements. Chapter 4, based on the results of the analysis in chapter 4, tries to find out points and ways of the improvement of the problems of Korean grammar education, proposes effective Korean grammar education for increasing communicative ability, and gropes for a direction to proceed in. we also discuss the direction of improvements with special reference to textbooks, teaching methods, and teachers. With respect to the discussion above, this study has the following points of significance. First, this study has grasped the conditions and problems of Korean grammar education in Thailand, and brought into order the situation of Korean grammar education in Thailand for the first time. This makes possible active research activities around the grammar education for Thai learners by providing basic data and information for reference in textbook development and research activities with respect to grammar education. Second, we can see its significance from the fact that it has groped for a direction for Korean grammar education in Thailand to proceed in by concretely presenting points and ways of improvement of Korean grammar education.
