학교급별 과학 흥미도의 경향에 관한 연구

Abstract

현재는 과학과 기술이 발달하고 그에 따라 사회가 하루가 다르게 급변하는 시기이다. 국가의 경쟁력 강화의 측면에서 볼 때 능력 있는 과학기술 인력의 확보는 국가의 무엇보다 중요한 교육의 과제라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 우리나라 학생들은 과학에 대한 흥미ㆍ자신감은 세계 평균보다도 매우 낮은 것으로 확인됐다. 최근 우리나라는 학생들의 과학에 관련된 태도는 학년이 올라갈수록 낮아지며 과학에 대한 관심과 흥미가 점차적으로 저하되는 경향을 보이고 있어서 미래 국가 경쟁력 확보에 낙관적이지 못한 상황이다. 이 연구의 목적은 현재 상황과 관련된 각종 실태조사를 통하여 기초자료를 수립하고, 학교급이 올라감에 따라서 과학과 흥미도의 경향을 알고 과학교육 현장에서 교사가 학생들의 요구를 반영하거나 여러 가지 과학교육과정이나 정책을 결정하는 것에 도움을 주고자 하는 것이다.;We live in days in which daily life changes a lot with developments of science and technologies. In terms of strengthen national competence, securing talents in science has a priority in a nation's education. However, it is confirmed that Korean students have interest and confidence in science at the lowest level in the world. Recently, a trend is seen that students have less interest in science when they advance in grade. It is not optimistic to secure future nation's competence when the students' attitude is not favorable toward science as they grow up. The purpose of the study was to examine the trend of interest with students in elementary school, middle school and highschool. And the study investigated many kinds of interest facts.
