Abstract

현대 기술의 발전은 소득수준의 향상을 가져왔다. 그로 인해서 편리해진 생활로 여가시간을 갖게 되면서 ‘웰빙’이라는 트렌드가 생기게 되었다. 이것은 트렌드에 그치지 않고, 문화코드의 하나로 자리매김하게 될 것으로 예상된다. ‘웰빙’의 주요모토는 자연이다. 산업발달로 해체돼있던 자연을 회복시켜, 본래의 자연으로 돌아가 사는 것이 웰빙의 모토중 하나라 할 수 있다. 이를 우리의 의식주 문화 중 식문화를 생각해 볼 때, 식문화와 밀접한 식기를 웰빙과 연결지어 보면 더 이상 플라스틱, 스테인레스 스틸류의 식기는 폐기하고 자연의 일부인 흙으로 만든 식기를 사용해야한다는 결론을 도출해 낼 수 있다. 도자식기의 잠재시장은 갈수록 커진다는 말로 바꿔 말할 수 있다. 그러나, 지금 우리의 도자식기시장은 협소하다. 유럽의 인지도 높은 식기, 값싼 중국산 식기의 수입으로 경쟁력을 잃어가고 있다. 이에 대한 경쟁력을 위한 방안이 시급하다. 이를 위한 방안을 찾기 위해서는 현재의 식생활에 대한 라이프스타일을 분석하는 것이 필요하다. 여성 활동 인구가 증가되면서 가사시간이 줄어들고 있으며 직장을 가진 기혼여성은 식생활문화에 관해 부담스러워 하는 경향이 있다. 이러한 현상을 보고 부부, 또는 싱글이 사용할 수 있는 간소화된 캐주얼식기를 도입하여 가정에서 간소하면서도 최대한 누릴 수 있는 음식문화를 최대한 살리자는 데 목적이 있다.;Despite the long tradition and technology which has a historical background, Korea's ceramic industry is going through difficulties due to the lack of harmony between material and modern design. At present, European ceramic sets, known as luxury brands to consumers, are cornering most of the Hi-end market and Korea's ceramic enterprises are actually having a hard time finding means of escape while low-price Chinese ceramics which once swept over the market worldwide with high technology exceeding Japan are now advancing to Korean markets. This study aims to recognize the change of situations and deduce tableware styles with a new concept which domestic ceramic enterprises will grope for. The past ceramic culture which was quite common with the traditional eating habits has lost its exclusive usefulness as dishes and packaging changed into various modernized products. Especially, methods of purchasing and saving cooked food brought original changes to size and material as the main factor that determines dish forms. Refrigerators became a part of eating habits as an essential space for food and dish storage, and residence environments such as kitchen sinks determined dish storage forms. Having much company around in an apartment is being recognized as inefficient culture. As a matter of fact, overall conditions like sufficient space, possessing dishes, preparing food, requiring labor and time are thought practical to be solved in restaurants, not in homes of individuals. Along with these changes, people nowadays are pursuing convenient, practical tableware made from various material than traditional settings and formalities. Ceramics are considered as formal necessities for marriage, special settings for tradition, or used in traditional Korean cuisine restaurants. They have become too much of a burden to be used in preparing normal meals. Secondly, as Korea's ceramic tableware market reduced due to these changes, stagnation has hit the market with great economic shock. Superior functions of dishes made from new material, competitions between prices, recognition of brands and other factors inform domestic products' need of all possible efforts in order to recover competitive power. Considering critical situations, this study aims to propose reformed ceramics as casual tableware which can replete practical eating habits, minimize the burden of collecting food and dish washing, and moreover, lead a joyful dining life.
