냉동정물의 결정이미지를 소재로 한 조형사진 연구

Abstract

예술가들은 의식적이든 무의식적이든 그들의 작품에 현실의 모습을 담아낸다. 작게는 자신의 내면세계에서 크게는 우주세계까지 내포하기도 한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시대적 흐름 안에서 조형사진을 이용하여 본인이 원하는 이미지를 표현하고자 하였다. 사진매체를 이용함에 있어서 조형성은 구체적으로, 또는 새로운 하나의 분야로써 연구되지 않은 분야이다. 많은 작가들은 일반인들이 발견해 내지 못하는 눈으로 사물을 인지하고 그 안의 아름다움을 조형적으로 표현하고 있지만, 그러한 사진들이 하나의 부류로 묶여있지는 않다. 이러한 시점에서 사진에서의 조형성에 대하여 거론해 봄으로써 표현방법으로써만 이야기되던 조형성을 조형사진으로 언급하였다. 본 연구에서의 이론적 배경으로는 조형사진을 거론하기에 앞서 조형예술에 대하여 알아보았다. 조형예술의 간략한 의미를 알아보고 예술계에서의 조형예술의 위치를 가늠해 보고 본 연구에 참고가 되었던 조형요소 및 원리 중에서 운동과 리듬, 공간과 방향성에 대하여 좀더 자세히 연구해 보았다. 본연구자는 조형성을 가지고 조형사진을 제작함에 있어 그 작품에 동시대적 인식을 전제로 현실을 반영하려고 노력하였다. 그러한 생각의 연장선에서 이미지의 상징성과 조형성에 대하여 고찰해보고, 본연구자의 오브제(Objet)의 선택과 그 이미지의 조형성을 연구하여 미(美)적 토대를 밝히려고 하였다. 현대 예술의 한 부분으로써 개념미술과 구성주의 사진에 대하여 살펴봄으로써 예술에 있어서 정신적인 의미와 내적 필연성을 중시하는 작업들을 거론하고 본인의 연구가 그러한 작업들을 지향함을 밝히었다. 또한 주제접근 방식으로서나 표현방법으로써 본 연구자의 작품에 영향을 준 사진가들에 대한 고찰을 통하여 작품제작의 이론적 근거를 제시하였으며 단순히 리얼리티를 추구하는 사진의 전통적인 의미보다는 물질의 조형성을 이용한 좀 더 다양한 이미지의 사진작업을 펼쳐보고자 노력하였다. 오브제(Objet)로는 얼려져있는 물질을 이용하였는데 얼려져 있는 얼음의 이미지는 차갑고 냉소적이며 울적하고 억압적인 느낌을 지니고 있다. 이러한 얼음의 특성을 조형사진 제작에 활용하였고 그 안의 오브제(Objet)는 현대의 이미지를 상징적으로 나타내었다. 조형사진을 연구함에 있어 대학원 재학 기간동안 클로즈업 촬영기법이나 포토그램작업 등 여러 가지 방법으로 시도해 보았으며, 기존의 작품들을 지속적으로 분석함으로써 사진에서의 조형성을 이용하여 새로운 이미지를 연구하는 발판으로 삼았다.;The artist incorporates the real world into his work whether it was derived consciously or unconsciously. They also involve both their inner world and the universe or something that is superior to the cosmos in their work. In this study, I intend to show images that I want to express by using the plastic photography in keeping pace with the times Among photographical techniques, plastic nature is a new field. A lot of artists see things with a particular view and describe this beauty by using plastic photographical techniques. However, these photographies are not bound together. In this point of view, I make a plastic nature of photography a subject of discussion in this study that was stated only as an express techniques. Before taking up the main subject, plastic photography, I make mention of plastic arts as a theoretical background. I will touch on what is plastic art and what is considered to be its proper place in the field of art. I will make a study of an essential part of a plastic nature, an action and a rhythm, a space and a direction. In my opinion, that plastic photography reflect a real world of contemporary consciousness in indispensable. The following contents include studies of image and the plastic arts. In this study, I have conducted a trial to show what I want to express by contemplating my 'objet' and the images emitted by 'objet'. In the succeeding text, I make a simple study of conceptual art and constructivism, a cardinal part of modern arts. Because, I believe that my work has been inspired by those works in that they emphasized a sense of mind and inevitability. I also exhibit a theoretical foundation of my photograph by various means such as inquiry of an artistic photographer who had influenced me. Moreover, I make an effort to spread out a various image photograph. To be specific, I pursue more peculiar and manifold images which incline more to plastic beauty than traditional methods that point to realism. I choose the frozen things for 'objet' because, as one might expect, those contain chilly, cynical, melancholic and suppressive feeling. As the nature of ice shows us, the 'objet' in the ice depicts the locked people who live in modern times through impersonation. During my graduate studies, I have tried such various techniques as close-up techniques and darkroom works. And, It is evident that those preceding studies were a stepping stones for this treatise.
