A test format to investigate the developments of the 19 con-..sonants, 10 vowels and 8 diphthongs was constructed and it was administered individually to each subject. All responses were tape-recorded. Two examiners were involved for the transcription of the data and their analysis.
For the statistical analysis of the results, Chi-square test was used and the following results were found :
1. There was a significant difference in the articulation skills between the ages.
2. There was a significant difference in the articulation skills between the ages of 3 and 4.
3. There was a significant difference in the articulation skills between the ages of 4 and 5.
4. There was a significant difference in the articulation skil-skills of three consonants (/s/, /s'/, and /1/) between the ages.
5. There was no significant difference in the articulation skills of the consonants at the final positions between the ages.
6. There was a significant difference in the articulation skills of only one consonants (/1/) between initial position and final positions of the word.~http://dspace.ewha.ac.kr/handle/2015.oak/206542;
