This caused new emphases on mathematics Education with application to real life.
This new emphases entailed the enactment of the fourth curriculum in 1981, which was observed from 1984 with annual revision of mathematics textbooks. The mathematics has more obvious relation to the school grades than any other subjects, thus mathematics education should emphasize the learning order in each grades and the relation between higher level concepts and lower level concepts. To seek appropriate teaching plan, we study :
First, recent movement and characteristics of mathematics education, second, the purpose of mathematics education in the fourth curriculum, and third, the contents In mathematics text-book.
